ESN Milano-Bicocca is a non-profit student association that deals with helping and assisting Erasmus and Exchange students within the University of Milano-Bicocca. We organize many activities, from welcoming and orientation to university courses to cultural and recreational activities such as trips, parties and meetings between Italian and foreign students.

ESN Milano-Bicocca took shape from a group of students who chose to live an experience without borders, seizing the opportunities offered by Erasmus and other exchange programs to discover Europe and the world, learn about other cultures. 

The ESN Milano-Bicocca association in the pursuit of its values ​​collaborates with the university and numerous institutions and associations in the area. Furthermore, the collaboration with the International Relations Office (URI) has been consolidated for some time and is becoming even closer in the organization of the "Welcome Days", that is the welcome days organized at the beginning of the semester and in which all the incoming foreign students, URI staff, Erasmus coordinators, ESNers and other university student associations.

The main projects of the association are:

  • The Buddy System, thanks to the availability of Italian students, allows us to help new Erasmus students arriving at our university
  • The Tandem Project, organized every two Tuesdays and in which each time with a different theme the Italian language and culture are deepened to the sound of games
  • In addition to various initiatives related to the SocialErasmus project in which the foreign student volunteer on the Italian territory. Examples are the events organized in collaboration with the soup kitchen, the Institute for the Blind and the Municipality of Milan.

In addition to the activities dedicated to incoming foreign students, the association also takes care of the University's outgoing students, leaving or returning from Erasmus. With this in mind, ESN Milano-Bicocca as part of a national and European network carries out projects such as AskErasmus and #IlTuoErasmusConESN that want to offer concrete support at an economic level, but also information to encourage and facilitate student mobility.

Returning from Erasmus means carrying the faces, smiles and colours of land that you feel like a second home forever.

ESN Milano-Bicocca was created for the pleasure of carrying on these emotions and to entice those who have not yet done so to grab the numerous and different study and work opportunities offered by European universities.

Europe and the world are not just out there: they are already here, they are the life that awaits you!

ESN Milano-Bicocca è un'associazione studentesca no-profit che si occupa di aiutare e assistere gli studenti Erasmus ed Exchange all'interno dell'Università degli studi di Milano-Bicocca attraverso tantissime attività, dall'accoglienza e l'orientamento ai corsi universitari all'organizzazione di attività culturali e ricreative come viaggi, feste e incontri tra studenti italiani e stranieri.

ESN Milano-Bicocca ha preso corpo da un gruppo di studenti che hanno scelto di vivere un'esperienza senza confini, cogliendo le opportunità offerte dall'Erasmus e dagli altri programmi di scambio per scoprire l'Europa e il mondo, conoscere altre culture e rendersi conto di essere sorprendentemente vicini: nei desideri, nella voglia di sorridere e crescere insieme.

L'associazione ESN Milano-Bicocca nel perseguimento dei propri valori collabora con l'università e numerose istituzioni e associazioni del territorio. Inoltre, da tempo si è consolidata la collaborazione con l’Ufficio di Relazioni Internazionali (URI) che si fa ancora più stretta nell'organizzazione dei “Welcome Days”, ovvero delle giornate di benvenuto organizzate a inizio semestre e alle quali prendono parte tutti gli studenti stranieri in arrivo, il personale dell'URI, i coordinatori Erasmus, gli ESNers e le altre associazioni studentesche dell'università.

I progetti principali dell'associazione sono:

  • Il Buddy System, grazie alla disponibilità degli studenti italiani permette di aiutare i nuovi studenti Erasmus in arrivo presso il nostro ateneo
  • Il progetto Tandem, organizzato ogni due martedì e in cui ogni volta con un tema diverso si approfondisce la lingua e cultura italiana a suon di giochi
  • Oltre a diverse iniziative legate al progetto SocialErasmus in cui si vuole avvicinare lo studente straniero ad attività di volontariato sul territorio italiano. Esempi ne sono gli eventi organizzati in collaborazione alla mensa dei poveri, all'Istituto dei Ciechi e al Comune di Milano.

Oltre alle attività dedicate agli studenti incoming stranieri, l'associazione si occupa anche degli studenti outgoing dell'Università, in partenza o di ritorno dall'Erasmus. In quest'ottica ESN Milano-Bicocca come parte di un network nazionale ed europeo porta avanti progetti come AskErasmus e #IlTuoErasmusConESN che vogliono offrire un sostegno concreto a livello economico, ma anche di informazioni per favorire e facilitare la mobilità degli studenti.

Tornare dall'Erasmus significa portarsi dietro per sempre i volti, i sorrisi, i colori di una terra che senti come una seconda patria.

ESN Milano-Bicocca nasce per il piacere di portare avanti queste emozioni e per invogliare chi non l'avesse ancora fatto ad afferrare al volo le numerose e diverse opportunità di studio e lavoro offerte dalle università europee.

L'Europa e il mondo non sono solo la fuori: sono già qui, sono la vita che vi aspetta!
